mint

is an online budgeting app.  it was recommended to me by a friend.  i’ve only just started to experiment with it, but thus far it seems very intuitive.

I tried it out and found the same issue all I have with most of these apps. It’s just not intuitive enough with how my bank (Bank of America) shows debit card purchases. I use my debit card for everything and generally have 2 transactions a day from the same group of places. However I find myself continually having to mark that 2712 * D Market Fresh and 2812 * D Market Fresh are both Food items. And I end up having to classify my purchases for everything but bills and payroll everytime. It’s too much work for me to want to budget. Maybe that’s changed since I tried it last, but it ruined my experience as a personal budgeting tool.
