Want to see someone’s tweets, but their updates are protected? Just search for their username.
I discovered this doing a vanity search (obviously). I tried recreating it a few times, and it seems to randomly include private tweets in search results, but not always.
Did these people just mark themselves as private, and these were posted before they switched? I know the search stream is already out of sync with the actual Twitter network, since deleted tweets are never removed from search results.
I think search shows most posts. I use summizer and have my username and my most looked at friends names in there, and I don’t usually see protected posts but I do see posts I have or other people have deleted in the searches.
